Getting Started

Start with one lane, not every command.

Party servers usually start with /play and /daily. Retention-focused communities often add /drops status and scheduled Question Drops next. Smaller communities often start with /watch, /later, /remind, or /bremind. Identity-heavy servers tend to start with /buddy and /profile.

Best first public command

/play opens the multiplayer lobby for Broken Telephone, Exquisite Corpse, Spyfall, Word Bomb, and Pattern Hunt.

Best first solo command

/daily opens Daily Arcade without needing a full room.

Best first private utility

/watch settings is a good first setup if you want quiet DM alerts instead of noisy public posts.

Best first admin command

/setup panel opens the guided setup hub with balanced readiness scores, section checklists, confirmable presets, and focused jumps into Shield, Raid Guard, Anti-Nuke, Moderation Basics, Appeals, Logs, Setup Sync, Confessions, Admin, Question Drops, Server Messages, and Bump Reminders.

Best first support command

/support opens the official support server, website, premium, and policy links in one place if you need help or want to report a bug.

Best first premium command

/premium plans compares Free, Supporter, Babblebox Plus, and Babblebox Guild Pro before you spend anything.

Public vs Private

Showable where it should be. Quiet where it should stay personal.

Babblebox separates surfaces people want to share from surfaces that work better as personal tools. That keeps the bot feeling native in Discord instead of turning every interaction into a private panel or every reminder into channel clutter.

Usually public

/play, most Daily Arcade outputs, /buddy, and /profile are designed to sit comfortably in chat.

Usually private

/setup, /watch, /later, /capture, /remind, /bremind, /messages, /afk, and most setup or failure states stay private or DM-oriented.

Moderator-private

Shield configuration, admin cleanup tooling, and mod alerts are meant for admins and moderator channels, not public callouts.

Mobile-ready cards

Cards use short titles, compact lists, and spacing that still scans cleanly on Discord mobile.

Anonymous Confessions

Staff-blind anonymous posting with calm, bounded safety.

Confessions are optional in Babblebox and do nothing until admins enable and configure them. This staff-blind lane stays quiet until it is deliberately opened. Once live, /confess opens a private composer, /confess manage, /confess appeal, /confess vote, /confess report, /confess reply-to-user, /confess notifications, and /confess about mirror the private member utility flows, and server staff still moderate by confession ID, vote ID, and case ID only while Babblebox still enforces safety internally without exposing authors or voters.

/confess, /confess vote, plus manage, appeal, report, and about

Open the private composer, anonymous vote flow, or the matching private member support flows.

DetailsConfessions, anonymous replies, owner replies, and pending self-edits allow up to 4000 characters. Anonymous votes are off by default, use a two-step composer with the question first and then an Add answer options step, provide five separate option fields where the first two are required, allow 2-5 text-only options up to 24 characters each including emoji-only labels, block links and mentions, route through private review by default when enabled, auto-close after a selected duration up to 2 weeks, and keep voters anonymous with private receipts. One link total is allowed under the server's active Confessions link mode for normal confessions, and Babblebox Shield still blocks unsafe or high-risk destinations. Offensive or derogatory language is filtered, adult / 18+ language is blocked by default unless admins change that policy, images stay off by default, public anonymous replies stay off by default, and self-edit stays off by default unless admins explicitly enable those riskier options. Guild Pro can raise the saved image ceiling, and downgrade keeps that saved setting while the active current-plan image ceiling falls back. When public replies are enabled, the button is named Reply anonymously, it lives on eligible published confession and vote posts instead of the launch panel, first replies to top-level posts reuse one Babblebox thread when Discord allows it, reply-confessions stay inside that same thread without nested threads, and the reply stays anonymous even if Babblebox sends it through private approval before posting. The latest eligible live confession post can also show Create a confession. Babblebox hides your account, but a personal link, identifiable image, or self-identifying poll wording can still reveal you if you include it.
/confess reply-to-user and /confess notifications

Review private owner reply prompts and manage opt-in reply DMs.

DetailsIf someone explicitly replies to your confession, posts an anonymous reply to it, or replies to your first public owner reply, Babblebox keeps a private opportunity in /confess reply-to-user. Reply DMs are off by default; after submitting a confession you can choose Notify for This Confession, Notify for All My Confessions, or Inbox Only, and /confess notifications can manage one confession or all your confessions in that server later. Enabled prompts include Mute This Confession and Mute Server Reply DMs; those controls mute only future prompt DMs, pending owner-reply opportunities stay available, and enabling DMs creates Discord-visible DM messages that may remain in your DM history. Public anonymous replies and owner replies show the referenced confession ID and link it to the public post when a safe Discord jump link exists. The public result posts as Anonymous OP Reply so the root author is visibly marked without exposing identity. Owner replies are enabled by default, stay text-only, and only go through review if admins enable owner-reply review.
/confessions, /confessions cooldown, /confessions votes, /confessions role, and /confessions moderate

Open the admin panel, tune cooldowns, configure votes, manage role eligibility, and moderate by confession, vote, or case ID.

DetailsAdmins can enable the feature, choose Disabled, Trusted Only, or Allow All Safe Confessions link mode, explicitly turn votes, images, or replies on after setting a separate private review channel where needed, configure a dedicated appeals / reports channel, and manage role allowlist / blacklist rules where blacklist always wins and a non-empty allowlist means only those roles may submit. Regular confession cooldowns are whole minutes from 1 minute to 24 hours and default to 5 minutes; vote cooldowns are whole hours from 1 hour to 7 days, default to 1 hour, and apply to non-exempt members while automatic-moderation-exempt admins or roles can bypass that vote-creation cooldown. Babblebox shows a warning before Allow All Safe because Shield safety still applies but wider link acceptance increases moderation and privacy risk. Staff can still approve, deny, delete, pause, restrict images, clear, or mark false positive without exposing the author or voters.
Party Games

Short multiplayer energy, built around live rooms.

/play acts as the shared lobby for the live-party lane instead of forcing people to remember several different entry points.

/play

Open the multiplayer lobby.

DetailsStart Broken Telephone, Exquisite Corpse, Spyfall, Word Bomb, or Pattern Hunt from one place. Broken Telephone runs as a DM relay, Exquisite Corpse uses six hidden prompts for 3-6 players, Spyfall rotates the spotlight through live interrogation and voting, Word Bomb keeps compact syllable pressure high, and Pattern Hunt turns into guesser-led table talk with private natural theories in /hunt guess. Pattern holders need server DMs open before the room starts.
/spyfall target and /spyfall vote

Move the Spyfall spotlight or call the vote from slash.

DetailsUse /spyfall target @member when the original target panel has scrolled away. /spyfall vote starts the vote, while the old prefix bb!vote still works for a short migration window. The separate /vote root is now reserved for the Top.gg Vote Bonus panel.
/hunt status and /hunt guess

Operate the active Pattern Hunt round.

DetailsThese stay dormant unless a Pattern Hunt lobby is already live in the server. /hunt status mirrors the live state card privately, and /hunt guess accepts natural theories like contains a number, starts with b, or has 3-5 words. The Contains Digits family means digits 0-9 only.
/stats and /leaderboard

Check light session stats.

DetailsThese stay compact and playful instead of turning into a giant progression system.
Daily Arcade

Three quick daily booths plus a guild-first Question Drops lane.

Daily Arcade gives people something to do even when there is no full group ready for a live room. Question Drops add lightweight scheduled prompts, mastery roles, scholar ranks, guild knowledge boards, and private member role controls while keeping channel noise low. Both lanes stay compact, public-friendly, and spoiler-aware.

/daily

Open the current daily booth selection.

DetailsBabblebox keeps Daily Arcade at three booths: Shuffle leans on stronger word shapes, Emoji uses layered clue trails, and Signal rotates across Caesar shift, mirror alphabet, and adjacent-pair swap.
/daily play

Submit a daily answer or guess.

DetailsThe shorthand path still defaults cleanly instead of forcing command complexity.
/daily stats, /daily share, /daily leaderboard

Share progress while keeping booth results spoiler-safe.

DetailsOpen and result cards show Difficulty, Length, and the booth Profile, while warnings and storage issues stay private even when the main cards are public.
/drops status, /dropsadmin panel, /dropsadmin config, /dropsadmin diagnostics, /dropsadmin channels, /dropsadmin categories, /drops stats, /drops leaderboard

Run the scheduled Question Drops lane.

Details/dropsadmin panel is the focused admin setup surface and is also reachable from /setup panel. Admins can run 1-10 drops per day, tune activity gating, and choose channels, categories, temporary wrong-answer tone, smart or fixed timing, and a compact difficulty profile. Standard stays welcoming, Smart leans medium and hard with rare Very Hard, Hard is noticeably tougher with occasional Very Hard, players still answer live in-channel, tone mode adds light category, difficulty, and prompt context to temporary wrong-answer feedback but does not change answer judging, numeric drops accept clean digits, and simple number words only count for whole-number answers, multiple-choice prompts accept the correct option letter or option text, ordered-sequence prompts are one-shot and work best with a clean comma-separated answer, idle channels can skip a slot, stronger concept, family, prompt, answer, category, and answer-shape rotation keep busy lanes fresher, and diagnostics warn when a narrow pool is likely to repeat.
/dropsadmin ping

Choose one optional role ping for live Question Drops.

DetailsBabblebox only includes that role mention when the configured role still exists and can be mentioned safely in the delivery channel. Missing roles, unmentionable roles, or blocked permissions downgrade quietly to an unpinged drop instead of failing the post.
/drops roles status, /drops roles remove, /drops roles preference

Manage your own Babblebox Question Drops roles privately.

DetailsMembers can remove current Babblebox-managed roles, stop future grants, or opt back in later without erasing earned knowledge history.
/drops-mastery category, /drops-mastery scholar, /drops-mastery recalc

Configure mastery roles, the scholar ladder, and announcement copy in one place.

DetailsThe prefix equivalents stay under bb!dropsadmin mastery .... Those same mastery commands open the safe modal editor with template_action, support a scope default plus optional tier overrides, and fall back as tier override > scope default > Babblebox default. Category tokens: {user.mention} {user.name} {user.display_name} {role.name} {tier.label} {threshold} {category.name}. Scholar tokens: {user.mention} {user.name} {user.display_name} {role.name} {tier.label} {threshold}. AI celebration copy is optional and requires Guild Pro; the larger offline question pool and smarter rotation do not.
Buddy / Profile / Vault

One identity layer, not a bloated economy.

Babblebox's identity surfaces are meant to feel worth showing. They collect your ongoing flavor, streaks, achievements, party-game wins, Question Drops progress, mastery flavor, and scholar rank into a few readable surfaces rather than exploding into a giant inventory game.

/buddy

Your public-friendly mascot or companion surface.

DetailsGood for quick status, style, and personality without a wall of admin text.
/profile

Your broader public identity card.

DetailsUseful when you want a showable summary that still feels readable in a real Discord channel, including guild-first knowledge lane progress without confusing it with Daily Arcade.
/vault

Your more personal storage or progression surface.

DetailsVault is the less public lane when you want to manage your own state quietly.
Utilities

Quiet tools for real server life.

Utilities are where Babblebox earns its keep on ordinary days. They reduce missed context and small task friction without filling channels with bot chatter.

/watch mentions, /watch replies, /watch keyword

Get private DM alerts for the things you care about.

DetailsWatch is built for low-noise monitoring, not public surveillance theater, keyword setup keeps local validation plus a narrow privacy-only Shield safety check, the free baseline stays usable, and Babblebox Plus raises the personal keyword and filter caps.
/later mark

Save a place in a server so you can come back later.

DetailsUseful when you want to keep momentum without opening tabs or pinning messages everywhere, while Later keeps compact attachment labels instead of raw attachment URLs.
/capture

Send yourself a private recent-message snapshot.

DetailsGood when you want a clean recap with message context and a jump-back link; private Capture transcript files may include currently available attachment URLs at send time without keeping a server scrapbook.
/remind

Set reminders without needing a separate productivity bot.

DetailsReminder setup and failure states stay private so channels do not fill with housekeeping, Babblebox rechecks public reminder delivery through configured local Shield checks before posting it later, the free baseline stays useful, and Babblebox Plus raises the personal reminder caps.
/vote

Open the Top.gg Vote Bonus panel privately.

Details/vote shows your current Top.gg status, a direct vote link, refresh controls, and the reminder toggle in one place. Free and Supporter users can unlock a temporary Vote Bonus for Watch, reminders, and recurring AFK, but it is not a premium tier and it stays disabled until an operator explicitly sets TOPGG_ENABLED=true on that deployment.
/setup panel, /setup score, /setup sync generate, /setup sync preview, /setup sync apply

Open the guided setup hub, show readiness scores, or run Guild Pro setup sync.

DetailsThe setup hub is a private Manage Server surface for admins. It groups Server Safety, Raid Guard, Anti-Nuke, Moderation Basics, Appeals, Logs, Setup Sync, Community, Admin Tools, and Utilities, shows balanced readiness scores, lists blockers and next actions, opens focused panels, and requires confirmation before any recommended preset applies changes. Setup sync is Guild Pro-only, stores hashed tokens only, requires the same Discord admin on source and destination, previews first, auto-maps obvious same-name roles and channels, accepts optional old:new ID overrides, imports every safe setting it can, warns about skipped unresolved role/channel-bound pieces, never creates Discord roles or channels, and excludes runtime history such as cases, appeals, logs, confession submissions, reminders, watch state, secrets, and tokens.
/bremind panel, /bremind setup, /bremind status, /bremind test

Configure admin-only verified Disboard bump reminders without fake manual timers.

Details/bremind panel is the focused setup surface and is also reachable from /setup panel. Babblebox V1 only supports Disboard here, starts the cycle only from verified provider output in configured channels, shows the next due window plus blockers in /bremind status, supports quiet, public, or off thank-you behavior, and Babblebox Guild Pro raises the bounded bump-detection channel cap.
/messages panel, /messages sticky, /messages boost

Configure sticky channel messages and boost announcements from one Manage Server lane.

Details/messages panel opens the private admin control surface, /messages sticky keeps one bot-owned plain or embed message last in a selected channel, and /messages boost sends immediate server boost announcements with plain or embed copy, color, and an optional direct HTTPS GIF link. Shield checks configured server-message copy at save time and again before public delivery, sticky posts use no mentions, and boost delivery only allows the boosting member mention.
/afk, /afktimezone, /afkschedule

Set temporary AFK state, timezone hints, and repeating schedules.

DetailsThis helps Babblebox explain absence cleanly without forcing manual status updates every time, AFK reasons stay on a bounded private Shield lane for configured local checks, the free recurring-schedule baseline stays intact, and Babblebox Plus raises that personal cap.
Premium

Optional plans, clearer onboarding, and no fake premium mystery.

Babblebox does not paywall core local Shield protection, core Confessions privacy, or the current free utility baseline. The separate Top.gg Vote Bonus lane is temporary, utility-only, not a premium tier, and intentionally smaller than paid plans so it never blurs into Babblebox Plus. It stays off until an operator explicitly sets TOPGG_ENABLED=true. Supporter is the paid support tier with Inevitable Friendship benefits but no Babblebox limit increase, Babblebox Plus raises personal Watch, reminder, and AFK limits, and Babblebox Guild Pro raises bounded server caps, enables guarded setup sync between servers the same owner controls with safe partial imports and skipped-item warnings, can make the higher Shield AI model tiers available when owner policy and provider/runtime readiness allow second-pass review, can make optional Question Drops AI celebrations available when celebration policy and provider/runtime readiness allow live copy, and raises the safe Confessions image ceiling. Premium state stays in a separate entitlement layer, and downgrade preserves saved state instead of deleting it while saved config stays preserved, future expansion stays blocked until you trim it or premium returns, and extra runtime headroom simply pauses until the saved state is reduced or premium returns.

Free

For servers that want the real product without pressure. Party games, Daily Arcade, Question Drops, utilities, bounded Shield, and the current free Confessions baseline stay intact.

Supporter

For people who want to back Babblebox directly. It includes Supporter-tier Inevitable Friendship Discord benefits while intentionally keeping the same Babblebox product limits as Free.

Babblebox Plus

For members who rely on Watch, reminders, and recurring AFK schedules. It maps to IF Epic Patron and raises the personal utility caps without pretending to be a server-admin tier. Babblebox Plus raises Watch, reminder, and recurring AFK headroom while saved config stays preserved if Plus later expires.

Babblebox Guild Pro

For admins who want more server headroom. It maps to IF Legendary Patron and raises higher bounded admin caps, enables guarded setup sync between servers the same owner controls with safe partial imports and skipped-item warnings, can make the higher Shield AI tiers available when owner policy and provider/runtime readiness allow review, can make Question Drops AI celebrations available when celebration policy and provider/runtime readiness allow live copy, and raises the larger safe Confessions image ceiling. Babblebox Guild Pro can make gpt-5.4-mini plus gpt-5.4 effective for Shield AI when owner policy and real runtime prerequisites line up; gpt-5.4 still stays frontier-gated until top-tier routing is ready.

How it activates

Use /premium subscribe to buy Supporter, Babblebox Plus, or Babblebox Guild Pro on Patreon, /premium link to connect that Patreon account to Discord, /premium status to verify the resolved personal plan or Guild Pro claim-ready state, and /premium guild claim only if you bought Guild Pro for a server. Babblebox does not process cards or reverse Patreon or Apple charges directly; see the Terms of Service.

Patreon tier mapping

Patreon now has three combined tiers: Supporter, Babblebox Plus, and Babblebox Guild Pro. Babblebox Plus maps to IF Epic Patron and Babblebox Guild Pro maps to IF Legendary Patron. Every paid tier includes both Babblebox and Inevitable Friendship benefits. If the wrong tier is still linked after a recent change, use /premium refresh or /support.

Payment / Billing

Start payment, billing, duplicate-charge, unauthorized-charge, or refund issues with Patreon, or with Apple for iOS purchases. Refund outcomes follow Patreon or Apple policy and applicable law, not a separate Babblebox guarantee. Use /support for Babblebox linking, resolved-tier, stale-entitlement, or Guild Pro claim issues. Official help: Patreon refund policy, Patreon refund help, and Apple billing help.

/premium status, /premium plans, /premium subscribe

Compare plans, buy the right tier, and see the exact state Babblebox resolved.

Details/premium plans compares Supporter, Babblebox Plus, and Babblebox Guild Pro in plain language. /premium status shows the linked Patreon state, the personal Babblebox lane, separate Guild Pro claim availability, resolved personal limits, and the next action instead of a vague premium badge. /premium subscribe is the purchase entrypoint and explains what happens after checkout.
/premium link, /premium refresh, /premium unlink

Manage Patreon linking privately and keep the trust boundary honest.

DetailsSubscribe on Patreon first, then use /premium link to attach that Patreon account to Discord. Patreon is the initial premium source of truth. Linking, refresh, and unlink flows stay private, hard provider-auth failures or a returned account mismatch require relinking, /premium unlink deletes Babblebox's local encrypted Patreon tokens instead of pretending it revoked Patreon-side app access for you, and payment or refund issues still start with Patreon or Apple rather than Babblebox.
/premium guild status, /premium guild claim, /premium guild release

Make Guild Pro ownership explicit for the current server.

DetailsGuild claims are admin-facing so premium cannot be silently stolen or drift to the wrong server. /premium guild status explains whether the server is unclaimed, claimed, stale, blocked, or permanently covered by the support server rules. If one claim source expires but the same owner still has another valid Guild Pro source, Babblebox can keep the server attached without moving the claim to another user. Releasing a claim does not delete stored configuration.
Shield / Admin

Compact safety for moderators, with honest confidence.

Shield live moderation is optional and starts from local rules. It can look for likely privacy leaks, invite or promo abuse, a first-class Anti-Spam lane grounded in explicit message-rate and near-duplicate thresholds, optional off-by-default emote, capitals, and low-value chatter controls, a separate GIF Flood / Media Pressure lane for repeated low-text GIF disruption, malicious or scam links, no-link DM-lure scams that route nitro, crypto, prize, or cash bait into DMs or off-platform contact, adult-domain intel, an optional conservative solicitation / DM-ad detector inside the Adult Links + Solicitation pack, and a separate Severe Harm / Hate pack for sexual-exploitation solicitation, explicit self-harm encouragement, eliminationist or dehumanizing hate, and severe slur abuse with quote, reporting, moderation, and rules-context suppressors. It can also rescan meaningful edits and webhook or community-post style deliveries in scope, but it is designed to stay conservative when the signal is weak, especially for ordinary bot or webhook posts that only carry medium or soft scam heuristics. Attachment filenames stay metadata-only for link repetition unless a real link was actually posted. Shield also has a separate Trusted Links Only live-message mode for servers that want the built-in trusted pack plus bounded domain or invite allowlists only, and that mode stays separate from Confessions link mode. /shield-links trusted-view now exposes the built-in trusted families, direct domains, and any local built-in trust disables. Specific adult-topic channels can relax only the optional solicitation detector without weakening adult-domain, scam, malicious-link, or trusted-brand impersonation protections. The premium configuration path is /shield panel: pick a pack, then use Actions, Options, or Exemptions so unrelated spam or GIF controls never spill into Severe or Hate work, while each pack can inherit the global timeout or keep a dedicated timeout profile. The Options editor now switches between focused anti-spam or GIF lanes instead of dumping every threshold into one screen. Safe mainstream domains are bypassed before link suspicion, local malicious-link checks include a feed of about 200k known malicious domains, and phase 1 does not depend on any outside reputation provider. Trusted-brand impersonation and lookalike phishing hosts are also hard-blocked locally. Unknown risky links only escalate after combined local scam evidence, hard local intel, dangerous file targets, or fresh-campaign corroboration, and /shield test plus Shield logs show concise local link-decision explanations without exposing raw scoring internals. The first live enable applies a recommended non-AI baseline, while Anti-Spam stays local-first with short-lived windows plus bounded corroboration so healthy active chat stays safer while real spam can still log, delete, timeout, or combine delete + timeout when the configured evidence is strong enough. The main Anti-Spam and GIF lanes can now be turned off individually, optional emote, capitals, and low-value chatter lanes stay off until an admin enables them, moderators are exempt from Anti-Spam by default unless an admin deliberately chooses delete-only or full enforcement, repeated same-member spam alerts group into one evolving incident log instead of spamming the log channel, and pack-specific exemptions let one channel, role, or member bypass one pack without weakening the rest. Shield log buttons stay reversible-first: moderators can open or delete the message when relevant, remove a Shield timeout when relevant, and use the support link without kick, ban, or timeout-punishment shortcuts; confirmed false-positive repair appears only after Shield or the alert delete button changed a message or timeout. Destructive Shield actions can keep a short-lived recovery copy so confirmed false-positive repair can DM the member an apology plus their message text, while Shield still avoids a long-term message archive. The separate GIF Flood / Media Pressure pack keeps GIF disruption legible instead of burying it under generic spam, keeps grouped incidents per offender and incident window for one-user floods, splits one-user GIF floods from collective channel pressure, groups collective pressure per channel, exposes one-member rate, low-text repeat gate, same-asset repeat, true channel-streak, and effective GIF-pressure settings with lightweight meaningful-text weighting, deletes the matched burst for one-user abuse, removes the exact live GIF streak for true consecutive streak floods, trims only the newest contributing GIF posts from the active pressure slice for channel-pressure matches after lightweight meaningful-text weighting, can combine shared cleanup with one member's personal enforcement in mixed incidents, never touches healthy text, and now exposes tighter low-end controls for stricter rooms while keeping the panel usable. The direct moderation suite adds /ban add, /ban remove, /kick, /timeout add, /timeout remove, /quarantine add, /quarantine remove, /warn, /warns, /cases view, /modcases, /notes add, /purge, /sanitize, /slowmode, /verify, and /moderation warnings. Purge is preview-first with moderator caps and log requirements, warning forgetting keeps durable history while only recent active warnings count, and cases/notes stay compact instead of becoming a deleted-message archive. /antinuke status, /antinuke panel, /antinuke permits panel, /antinuke permits add, /antinuke incident, /antinuke release, /antinuke exempt, /antinuke pause, and /antinuke test cover the default-on Anti-Nuke Guard with compact minute/hour windows, scoped permits, command locks, bounded audit-log checks, safe quarantine, quarantine-hold, and owner-reviewed release without deleted-message bodies or server backups. /raidguard panel, /raidguard status, /raidguard test, /raidguard recent, and /raidguard release cover restart-safe join-raid protection that can alert on pure volume but only contain suspicious joiners when corroborating signals make the campaign credible; it uses quarantine or timeout, trusted-role/member/bot suppressors, event mode, compact incidents, false-positive resistant recovery, and Discord Security Actions for bounded invite and member-DM pauses when permissions allow. The linked Admin lane focuses on one direct emergency lock lane plus delegated Role Tools, follow-up, exclusions, logs, and truthful permission diagnostics. /lock add, /lock channel, /lock remove, /lock status, and /lock update give moderators who can manage channels or messages, timeout, kick, or ban members, plus admins one calm direct moderation lane by default, /lock settings lets admins tune the default notice and optionally make that lane admin-only, /timeout remove gives moderators a direct timeout-clear lane, /giverole and /removerole give configured operators a logged single-member role lane, and /admin permissions explains which missing bot permissions degrade locks, timeout removal, Shield actions, or role-based helpers. Separate from that live lane, Shield also supplies private bounded feature-surface checks for Confessions, AFK reasons, reminder text plus public reminder delivery, Watch keywords, and bump reminder copy using configured local Shield text/link checks where guild context exists. Baseline privacy, adult, and severe checks still protect supported fields without guild context. Those private feature checks do not create mod-log alerts, call Shield AI, or run multi-message GIF/spam pressure.

Shield image scanning stays local-first and is enabled by default when Shield is enabled unless admins explicitly turn it off. Babblebox can scan eligible Discord-hosted image attachments for visible scam or phishing text with local OCR, optional local QR decoding, strict size and queue limits, hash/fingerprint dedupe, and confidence-based actions. OCR scam scoring weighs reward bait, trusted-brand bait, account/security action, dangerous secret requests, QR login language, crypto/wallet language, suspicious domains, and known-bad image evidence together, so fake Nitro verification lures are treated as strong image phishing while generic words like free, verify, account, QR, or support stay weak by themselves. Dry runs and alerts show confidence separately from the configured Shield action, so Log only can mean policy, not weak evidence. For flagged image alerts, the original flagged image upload may be attached to the configured Shield log channel for moderator review; raw images are not persisted in Babblebox storage. AI never receives images, image bytes, base64, screenshots, raw QR payloads, or raw image URLs; at most, optional Shield AI review sees sanitized OCR text plus compact metadata after local Shield has already flagged the case.

Dangerous-file scanning is opt-in under the Scam pack Options lane. It is a compact extra layer, not a full antivirus: Babblebox scores risky executable/script/installer extensions, spoofed double extensions, macro-capable files, archive lures, and operator-owned known-bad SHA256s. Optional reputation checks are hash-only, no uploads, and send only SHA256 values to configured providers. Babblebox does not execute, decompress, inspect macros, upload files to VirusTotal or MalwareBazaar, or attach suspicious malware files to logs.

Shield Profile Monitoring is opt-in and checks Discord API-available identity fields: username, global display name, server nickname, and active display name. It can catch blank or invisible usernames, hard scam/adult/impersonation links, and high-confidence scam or severe-harm profile text, then use a state-preserving quarantine role with stored role IDs for release. Weaker combined signals enter bounded Profile Watch instead of quarantine. It does not promise bio, About Me, custom status, or profile-picture scanning.

Main admin commands

/setup panel, /setup sync generate, /setup sync preview, /setup sync apply, /shield panel, /shield module, /shield escalation, /shield-rules pack, /shield-links policy, /shield-links trusted-view, /shield-severe category, /shield-severe term, /shield-logs delivery, /shield-filters scope, /shield-filters exemption, /shield-links allowlist, /shield-profile status, /shield-profile apply-restrictions, /shield-ai scope, /shield-image status, /shield test, /raidguard panel, /raidguard status, /raidguard test, /moderation panel, /moderation actions, /appeals panel, /appeals configure, /ban add, /kick, /timeout add, /quarantine add, /warn, /warns, /cases view, /modcases, /notes add, /purge, /sanitize, /slowmode, /verify, /giverole, /removerole, /lock add, /lock channel, /lock remove, /lock status, /lock update, /lock settings, /timeout remove, /admin panel, /admin owner-control, /admin role-tools, /admin role-rules, /admin followup, /admin logs, /admin exclusions, and /admin permissions.

Graduated local policy

Shield uses Low confidence, Medium confidence, and High confidence actions. Low confidence stays safest, Medium confidence is where delete + log belongs, and timeouts or repeated-hit escalation should stay reserved for high-confidence lanes.

Allowlist and scope controls

Admins can carve out trusted roles, included or excluded scope, allowlisted domains, invite codes, phrases, solicitation carve-out channels, pack-specific exemptions, and built-in trusted pack entries so weak or educational context stays bounded. Global scope stays under Scope, pack-local exemptions live in the Rules panel, and /shield-filters exemption stays the quick slash fallback. Domain and invite allowlists stay scoped to Shield trusted-link policy, while phrase allowlists suppress only targeted promo or adult-solicitation text matches.

Focused admin lifecycle

Babblebox keeps the admin lane compact: one direct emergency lock lane plus follow-up, exclusions, logs, and truthful permission diagnostics. The remaining control surface is intentionally small and avoids sprawling server-wide control-plane work.

/moderation panel, /moderation actions, /moderation warnings, /appeal, /appeals panel, /appeals configure, /ban add, /warn, /purge, /cases view, /notes add, /moderation dm panel

Run compact direct moderation with durable cases and reviewable appeals.

Details/moderation panel opens Moderation Basics for logs, quarantine role, verified role, warning rules, warning forgetting, punishment-DM policy, DM previews, and case entry points. /moderation actions configures shared action panels, including visible command-channel success panels and public-channel suppression while keeping log delivery. Moderation slash visibility defaults to the relevant Discord permission so regular members do not see the slash roots in normal clients, while runtime checks still enforce access. /appeal lets members submit eligible warning, kick, and active-timeout appeals with duplicate, cooldown, expiration-window, and max-pending checks; appealable punishment DMs for bans, kicks, warnings, and timeouts include an Appeal button, with a private bb!appeal token fallback when buttons are unavailable or the member cannot access the server after a ban. /appeals panel gives staff Claim, Accept, Reject, Request Info, Escalate, History, and Refresh actions. The default fairness setting blocks the moderator who issued a punishment from claiming, accepting, rejecting, or escalating that appeal, and this self-review restriction is enforced from persisted case actor metadata, not only from disabled buttons. Ban, kick, timeout, quarantine, warn, cases, moderator notes, sanitize, slowmode, and manual verify commands use guild-scoped case metadata. /ban add also supports hack-ban by ID for a valid Discord snowflake when hack:true is used. Ban, kick, quarantine, warn, and sanitize can attach up to five proof images; Babblebox processes them locally into compact proof thumbnails for the log lane and stores compact proof metadata only. Configurable punishment DMs live in /moderation panel and /moderation dm panel, auto-send for core punishments on new guilds, hide moderator identity by default, and store compact delivery metadata without punishment-DM bodies or raw appeal tokens. Warnings keep history while configurable warning forgetting controls which active warnings count, and warn-only moderators create review cases instead of silently escalating to kick or ban unless the guild explicitly allows it. Purge requires preview/confirmation, enforces moderator caps, skips pinned messages by default, respects Discord's old-message boundary, logs before and after deletion, and stores message IDs/counts/filters instead of deleted content. The default-on Anti-Nuke Guard blocks suspicious bursts across Babblebox moderation actions, locks the actor, opens a compact incident, and can apply reversible quarantine when hierarchy allows it.
/antinuke status, /antinuke panel, /antinuke permits panel

Review moderator-abuse protection.

DetailsAnti-Nuke uses conservative minute/hour windows, heat scoring, enforced owner immunity, scoped permits, owner-only timed pause, bounded audit-log checks, quarantine-hold, and reversible release. It stores compact actor, target, incident, cursor, permit usage, and restore metadata only; it does not store deleted message bodies or full server backups.
/raidguard panel, /raidguard status, /raidguard defense, /raidguard test, /raidguard recent, /raidguard release

Detect join raids, contain suspicious joiners only, and register conditional defense bots.

DetailsRaid Guard uses bounded join velocity, dynamic quiet baselines, account age, no-avatar state, bot joins, similar names, invite or lure names, and early-message link or mention pressure from recent joiners. Pure volume can alert without punishment; automatic containment needs corroborating suspicious ratios or behavior. The panel exposes Actions, Signals, Trust, Defense Bots, Incidents, and Recovery, with trusted roles/members/bots, event mode, preview-first recent recovery, reversible quarantine or timeout, and Discord Security Actions for bounded invite and server-member-DM pauses when Manage Server is available. The defense bot lane is separate from broad Anti-Nuke permits: configured bots can provide conditional raid help only for capped ban, kick, timeout, or quarantine actions against the suspicious cohort during confirmed or severe incidents; infrastructure-changing actions remain enforceable.
/lock add, /lock channel, /lock remove, /lock status, /lock update, /lock settings, /timeout add, /timeout remove, /giverole, /removerole

Run Babblebox's compact emergency and delegated-role moderation lanes.

DetailsModerators who can manage channels or messages, timeout, kick, or ban members can lock or unlock normal text channels by default, admins can switch the lock lane to admins-only, Babblebox intentionally refuses category-synced channels, timed locks restore only the @everyone flags Babblebox actually changed, equivalent pre-locked channels can be tracked without reopening them later, /timeout add and /timeout remove safely change member timeouts when moderator and bot hierarchy still allow it, and Role Tools only give or remove explicitly configured roles after log-channel, target-list, bot-permission, hierarchy, managed-role, @everyone, and powerful-role checks pass.
/shield panel

Open the panel-first Shield admin surface.

DetailsUse this first if you want the current state without memorizing command flags. Pick a pack, then Babblebox splits editing into Actions, Options, and Exemptions so only the relevant controls appear. Inside Options, the lane selector pivots between focused Anti-Spam or GIF lanes so admins can turn the main lanes on or off and tune one lane at a time, including the off-by-default low-value chatter lane, without clutter. The Scam pack Options lane also exposes image scam controls and the opt-in dangerous-file layer. The toggle controls live-message moderation; the bounded feature-surface lane stays on.
/shield module

Turn live Shield moderation on or off.

DetailsThis is the direct slash fallback for the live moderation toggle. The bounded feature-surface safety lane still stays private and separate.
/shield escalation

Configure repeated-hit escalation and the global timeout fallback.

DetailsUse this when you want to tune delete_escalate thresholds or the global timeout profile without mixing those server-wide settings into pack-local rule changes.
/shield-rules pack

Use the precise slash fallback for one pack's actions, relevant thresholds, and pack-specific timeout override.

DetailsPrefix remains bb!shield rules. Panel-first editing lives in /shield panel. Use this when you already know the pack and want to set Low/Medium/High actions, Anti-Spam or GIF thresholds, optional spam lanes, moderator anti-spam policy, adult solicitation handling, or that pack's dedicated timeout override.
/shield-links policy

Choose Shield Default or Trusted Links Only mode for live messages.

DetailsPrefix remains bb!shield links. Shield link policy is separate from Confessions link mode. Domain and invite allowlists act only as trusted-link policy exceptions, while malicious, impersonation, suspicious, or adult-domain intel still wins.
/shield-links trusted-view, /shield-links trusted-family, /shield-links trusted-domain

Inspect the built-in trusted pack and turn specific built-in families or domains on or off for this server.

DetailsPrefix remains bb!shield trusted. This makes Trusted Links Only auditable instead of opaque. Admin allowlists still stay separate from built-in trust, and hard-risk overrides still win.
/shield-severe category, /shield-severe term

Turn severe-harm categories on or off and manage bounded bundled or custom severe terms.

DetailsPrefix remains bb!shield severe. The severe pack is meant for explicit self-harm encouragement, exploitative sexual-abuse solicitation, eliminationist or dehumanizing hate, and severe slur abuse with quote, reporting, moderation, and rules-context suppressors, not general rudeness.
/shield-logs delivery

Choose the private mod-log channel, optional alert role, and calmer delivery policy.

DetailsPrefix remains bb!shield logs. Shield stays calmer when its evidence goes to one review lane instead of spraying public callouts, with global Adaptive vs Compact logging and smart or never-ping delivery plus bounded per-pack overrides.
/shield-filters scope

Adjust included or excluded scope, trusted roles, and solicitation-only carve-out channels.

DetailsPrefix remains bb!shield filters. The channel carve-out only relaxes the optional solicitation detector; adult-domain, scam, and malicious-link protections still run there.
/shield-filters exemption

Exempt one member, role, or channel from one specific Shield pack.

DetailsPrefix remains bb!shield exemptions. Pack-local exemptions can skip one pack without weakening the rest of Shield.
/shield-links allowlist

Teach Shield which domains, invite codes, and phrases should get bounded policy carve-outs.

DetailsPrefix remains bb!shield allowlist. Domains and invites bypass only Trusted Links Only policy, while phrases suppress only targeted promo or adult-solicitation text matches.
/shield-profile status, /shield-profile toggle, /shield-profile role, /shield-profile exceptions, /shield-profile apply-restrictions, /shield-profile rescan, /shield-profile release

Configure Shield Profile Monitoring and profile quarantine.

DetailsProfile checks use Discord API-available identity fields only, catch blank or invisible usernames and high-confidence profile safety evidence, preserve removable role IDs before quarantine, DM the member a Check Again button, and keep weaker signals in bounded Profile Watch. The feature does not promise bio, About Me, custom status, or profile-picture scanning.
/shield-image status, /shield-image set, /shield-image diagnostics, /shield-image test, /shield-image overrides, /shield-image mark-safe, /shield-image confirm-bad

Configure local image scam scanning.

DetailsPrefix remains bb!shield image-scan. Image scanning is default-on when Shield is enabled, guild-configurable, local-first, and conservative. OCR uses local Tesseract only when available, QR uses local zbar/pyzbar only when available, and guild-scoped safe/bad overrides store only hashes or fingerprints. /shield-image test is a text-only dry run that reports category, verdict, confidence, policy action, reasons, evidence counts, and the no-image/no-AI privacy boundary.
/shield-ai scope

Set Shield AI review scope for privacy, promo, scam, adult, and severe packs.

DetailsPrefix remains bb!shield ai. Owner policy controls whether Shield AI review runs, runtime routes between gpt-5.4-nano, gpt-5.4-mini, and gpt-5.4, diagnostics report the effective lane plus local readiness and entitlement state, and Shield AI stays second-pass only, live-message-only, and only enriches moderator alerts after local Shield already flagged a message.
/admin panel

Open the interactive admin lifecycle surface.

DetailsUse this sectioned control surface to directly configure follow-up, Role Rules, Role Tools, recent Role Rules revoke history, exclusions, and logs. The overview quick-config row jumps straight into follow-up, Role Rules, Role Tools, exclusions, and logs, while /admin permissions stays close by as the targeted diagnostics fallback. Slash commands still stay as the precise fallback path.
/admin owner-control

Let the real Discord server owner restrict protected bot settings.

DetailsOwner Control is opt-in and covers bot settings, not day-to-day moderation actions. Only the real Discord server owner can enable it, disable it, change mode, or edit trusted users or roles. The sensitive settings mode protects safety and security setup surfaces, all settings mode protects every owner-control-aware settings surface and requires typed confirmation, and delegated trusted access fails closed if owner-control storage cannot be loaded while the real owner keeps break-glass access.
/admin role-tools, /giverole, /removerole

Delegate narrow role changes without broad Manage Roles access.

DetailsAdmins configure three plain lists: who can use the commands, what /giverole may add, and what /removerole may remove, with up to five roles in each list. The runtime commands work only after the command-user list exists, require a usable admin log channel before mutation, let Manage Server/admin users or configured command users run the lane, keep add and remove target lists separate, and refuse @everyone, managed roles, powerful target roles, bot hierarchy failures, actor hierarchy failures, and missing bot Manage Roles.
/admin role-rules

Open Role Rules for bulk channel permissions and new-member auto-role.

DetailsRole Rules can apply selected role permission overwrites to all channels, selected channels, or categories, add channel/category exclusions, save sync-aware future-channel rules, configure join-only new-member auto-role, and open recent revoke history. The editor groups permissions by Access, Text/Threads, Voice/Stage, and Management/Risky, rejects mixed include channel/category jobs in v1, caps oversized operations, reports excluded, synced, blocked, and failed channels with compact reasons, and shows Continue/Cancel warnings before typed confirmation for high-risk permissions, larger jobs, auto-role enablement, and revoke. Babblebox stores role IDs, permission names, target and excluded IDs, compact result state, and the last five user-triggered Role Rules actions for seven days; it does not store long-term permission history or member activity logs.
/admin role-history

Open recent Role Rules history and revoke tools.

DetailsThe history panel lists the last five user-triggered Role Rules actions from the past seven days. Revoke restores only overwrites that still match Babblebox's recorded result, skips entries changed later by admins, and requires the same warning plus typed confirmation flow before changing permissions.
/admin followup

Configure returned-after-ban follow-up roles.

DetailsThis lane stays focused on clear return windows, auto-remove vs review handling, and compact review actions instead of building a giant moderation suite. Leaving does not clear follow-up; the timer only counts while the member is in-server.
/admin logs, /admin exclusions, /admin permissions

Finish the focused admin lane with shared logs, trusted-role exclusions, and truthful permission diagnostics.

Details/admin logs is a shortcut into the new Logs panel. Modular logs route appeals, staff actions, automod, security, punishments, join/leave, message metadata, voice metadata, audit, anti-nuke, raidguard, setup sync, and admin events into one or more channels with severity thresholds, compact mode, reset, and test-log support. Message and voice logs stay metadata-only. The panel now exposes direct editors for the common settings, while these slash commands remain the stronger precision fallback when you already know the exact target change.
FAQ

Common questions

Does Babblebox default to public or private replies?

It depends on the surface. Party lobbies, Daily cards, Buddy, and Profile usually lean public. Personal tools and setup flows usually stay private.

Do I need every feature turned on?

No. Babblebox is meant to work well when a server adopts only one lane first. You can use it just for games, just for utilities, just for identity surfaces, or add Shield live moderation only if you need it while the bounded feature-surface safety lane still protects the relevant private flows.

Does Shield automatically punish every match?

No. Shield can log, delete, timeout, or escalate depending on the pack and the configured confidence tier. Low-confidence lanes stay calm, Anti-Spam needs real corroboration before stronger actions fire, one-user spam and GIF floods can remove the matched burst, collective GIF pressure still needs real channel degradation and only removes the exact live GIF streak or newest contributing GIF posts that crossed the rule, mixed incidents can pair that shared cleanup with one member's personal GIF enforcement, and ordinary mixed chat is meant to stay safer than obvious floods.

Does Shield AI read my whole server?

No. Shield AI only reviews already-flagged live messages, uses a sanitized excerpt with compact metadata, does not decide punishment on its own, and owner policy controls whether review runs. Babblebox Guild Pro can make the higher gpt-5.4-mini and gpt-5.4 tiers available when the provider and runtime are ready.

How do I actually buy and activate premium?

Use /premium plans to compare the real Babblebox tiers, use /premium subscribe to buy Supporter, Babblebox Plus, or Babblebox Guild Pro on Patreon, use /premium link in Discord with that same Patreon account, then check /premium status. If you bought Guild Pro, finish inside the target server with /premium guild claim and verify it with /premium guild status.

Who handles payment, billing, or refund problems?

Start payment, billing, duplicate-charge, unauthorized-charge, or refund issues with Patreon, or with Apple for iOS purchases. Refund outcomes follow Patreon or Apple policy and applicable law, not a separate Babblebox guarantee. Use Babblebox support if the linked tier, stale entitlement state, or Guild Pro claim still looks wrong after /premium refresh. Official help: Patreon refund policy, Patreon refund help, and Apple billing help.

Will Babblebox work well on Discord mobile?

Yes. Public cards are written to scan quickly, and the product avoids oversized admin slabs or dense utility dumps.

Where should I ask for support or report an issue?

Use /support in Discord for the official links card, then jump to the support server for live help, bug reports, behavior questions, or source-access permission requests.
